Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital (KMCH), located at Rangalikhata, Kokrajhar, is the first government medical college in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Assam. The institution was formally inaugurated on 14 April 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with AIIMS Guwahati and two other medical colleges.
Affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), KMCH admits 100 MBBS students annually starting from the academic year 2023-24.
With a 500-bedded hospital, 60 ICU beds, state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, and specialty clinics, KMCH is dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of Western Assam while imparting quality education and research opportunities.
