Government Medical College, Rajouri (GMC Rajouri) was established in 2017 by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir with the goal of providing high-quality medical education and healthcare services to the Peer Panchal region.
The college is located 3 km from Rajouri district headquarters, 153 km northwest of Jammu, and 180 km via Mughal Road from Srinagar. Since the main campus is under construction, the initial MBBS classes started in the existing District Hospital Complex, Rajouri in 2019 with temporary infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted medical education.
