Diphu Medical College & Hospital (DMC), located in Karbi Anglong district, Assam, is the 7th government medical college of the state, established to serve the people of Karbi Anglong and neighboring districts. Originally named Assam Hills Medical College & Research Institute (AHMC&RI), the foundation stone was laid on 19 January 2011 by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, then Health Minister of Assam.
After multiple phases of planning and construction, the institution was officially inaugurated on 25 November 2019 by Shri Pijush Hazarika (Minister of State, Urban Development and Health), in the presence of Shri Tuliram Ronghang (CEM, KAAC) and Shri Horensingh Bey (MP, Autonomous ST Constituency). Later, under a government notification on 21 November 2019, the name was changed to Diphu Medical College & Hospital in the interest of the general public.
DMC is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati. The college currently admits 100 MBBS students annually, starting from the academic year 2020–21.

DMC has a 416-bedded hospital with ICUs, OT, emergency services, radiology, pharmacy, and blood bank.
Diphu Medical College is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
It is affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati.
DMC admits 100 MBBS students annually.
Diphu Medical College was established in 2019 and started functioning officially on 25 November 2019.
