Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital (BSMC&H), Bankura, is a prestigious government medical college in West Bengal with a legacy deeply connected to India’s freedom movement. Founded by the Bankura Sammilani Trust in 1956 and taken over by the Government of West Bengal in 1961, the institution has grown into a hub for medical education, healthcare, and research.
