AIIMS Deoghar, established in 2019, is one of the premier All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Recognized as an Institute of National Importance, AIIMS Deoghar was set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to strengthen tertiary healthcare and medical education in eastern India.
The institute started with an intake of 50 MBBS students in 2019 and has since expanded to 125 MBBS seats, 62 B.Sc. Nursing seats, and MD/MS postgraduate programs through INI-CET. With a 750+ bed hospital, advanced OPD/IPD services, and modern infrastructure, AIIMS Deoghar is shaping into a hub of healthcare excellence in Jharkhand.
