The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, is an Institute of National Importance established under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. Conceived under Phase V of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY), the institute was founded to address imbalances in affordable and reliable tertiary-level healthcare across the country.
The foundation stone of AIIMS Bilaspur was laid by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 3, 2017, and Phase-I of the project was completed in record time within 3 years. Spread across 247 acres, the institute today stands as a premier destination for medical education, healthcare, and research in Northern India.
